Who knew Portland was a theif?
You’d think it’d be happy with its coffee, Mount Hood, and rain
and wouldn’t need to resurrect Amelia Earhart,
depose our Duke,
or filch our All Star fielder-
(An art teacher who can catch an Eng 9
lobbed her way and run with it like that belongs
in the Majors.)
We’re left waiting for more
haikus after conferences,
kisses for Princess Leia imitators, and
tour guides for backyard safaris
aboard toddler sized Kawasakis.
I wanna press charges.
